This workshop will cover 3 amazing ways to support your family's immune health. Combined they are my ride or die. We consume all three almost every day in the cold weather months and my family rarely gets sick. I am on a mission to empower other parents to do the same for their families!
We have been using fire cider as an immune support from October to May every year for the last 4-5 years (I don't remember when I first made it. I just know it's been years.) We will be making a batch of fire cider during this workshop. All ingredients except the vinegar are included in your kit. You can read more about fire cider HERE.
The benefits of Fermented foods have been well known for centuries. And for most of that time, it was one of a very few ways to preserve foods year round. To our detriment, we got away from them with modern refrigeration. Thankfully, they are making a comeback! At my house we consume homemade ferments in multiple forms every day: sourdough, yogurt, sauerkraut, and kombucha are the ones we have most frequently. During the workshop we will go over the health benefits of ferments, and I will share two really simple recipes to make fermented foods for your family.
Juice Plus+ is a simple way to get the nutritional benefits of 30 different fruits, vegetables, and berries into your family every single day. I was introduced to it when I was pregnant with my oldest, and we've never looked back. It comes in capsules, chewable, and a powder you can mix with water. We will go over it in more detail during the workshop, including how you can get it free for your kiddos!
I actually thought the same thing. I thought about doing a fire cider workshop in January/February, but then decided to postpone it till October. We don't really use fire cider in the warm months, so I assumed no one else would be interested.
I changed my mind when I saw the summer illness stats for 2024. According to this CDC article, respiratory illnesses, especially for children, were through the roof last summer.
Normally they hover between 3-15%, depending on the age group. Last summer respiratory illnesses were between 10-40%, depending on the age group.
Ummmm, no thank you.
So this year I think we will be using our fire cider year round, along with our normal summer staples: fermented foods and Juice Plus.
