Energy bites are such an easy snack to have on hand. Its so easy to toss a couple in a small container or plastic baggie and go.
This is one of those treats I will usually assign to my 12yo, because she can crank them out pretty quickly with very little supervision.
Any protein powder you prefer should work with this. I stick to Juice Plus+ Complete (plant based) or Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. I've also used unflavored, chocolate, and vanilla, depending on what's in my kitchen. They all taste great.
You can also get fancy and roll these in cocoa powder or finely chopped nuts to make them look like truffles. We don't usually do that, because the kids inhale them either way.
Last note: I always freeze these. That way the kids can't burn through them quite as quickly.
